MP Dean Del Mastro appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage

Peterborough, ON - At a ceremony lead earlier today in Ottawa, Dean Del Mastro - Member of Parliament for Peterborough Riding was appointed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, the Honourable James Moore. The Department of Canadian Heritage is responsible for national policies and programs that promote Canadian content, foster cultural participation, active citizenship and participation in Canada's civic life, and strengthen connections among Canadians. "I am honoured to be chosen for this role." stated MP Del Mastro. "Part of what makes Canada such a wonderful place to live is its culture and its sense of community. I am very excited to be working with Minister Moore to strengthen the bonds that prove to ourselves and the rest of the world - what a great country Canada is." |
