Vision for our North
October 05, 2009
Dear Constituent,
Prime Minister Harper recently toured our northern territories to underscore his vision for building up our Arctic. Canada's arctic contains bountiful resources, striking ecology and above all, enormous potential. That's why we're working to unlock that potential by investing in improved defence capabilities, economic development and better infrastructure. We're building more reliable northern roads and exercising our government's ability to react to protect northerners. At the same time, we've started a new Northern Economic Development Agency to help build the Northern economy that will unleash the North's true potential. I've included more information about these and more initiatives below for you if you're interested. As always, if you have any questions or wish to share your thoughts, please never hesitate to get in touch with me.
