MP DEAN DEL MASTRO TO HOST LOCAL PRE-BUDGET CONSULTATIONS

(Monday, December 23, 2008 – PETERBOROUGH, ON)  In preparation for Budget 2009, Dean Del Mastro, Member of Parliament for Peterborough Riding will be hosting a Pre-Budget Consultation Session on Monday, December 23, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Peterborough Legion Branch 52 located at 1550 Lansdowne Street West in Peterborough.

“We have invited a wide cross-section of individuals to help us build a foundation for Budget 2009.” stated MP Del Mastro.  “With the budget due to be presented in the House of Commons on January 27th, we are working hard to consult with as many businesses, organizations and economic sectors as possible to ensure that the Peterborough Riding is fairly represented.”

The general public is also welcome to provide their comments and suggestions regarding the consultation process.   “The Government is open to innovative new ideas that would help shape the plan for economic recovery in the 2009 budget,” said the Honourable James Flaherty, Minister of Finance.
