MP DEAN DEL MASTRO WELCOMES GO BUS SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

(Friday, April 3, 2009 – Peterborough, ON)  Dean Del Mastro, Member of Parliament for Peterborough is welcoming the new GO Bus Service scheduled to be introduced in the Peterborough area by the fall of 2009.
 
“I am pleased that the province is continuing to build upon its regional transit network.” stated MP Del Mastro. “Today's GO Bus Service commitment will provide new choices, options and convenience for Peterborough area residents. This new service commitment is a complimentary initiative to the commuter rail project that can be delivered in a much shorter timeframe."

"The Government of Canada has been pleased to partner with the Government of Ontario having just recently provided a $500 million funding boost to GO Transit which will create jobs and ease gridlock across Ontario." stated MP Del Mastro. "Through these joint efforts more Ontarians will be able to access the GO Transit network making our Province and our community a more convenient, economical and greener place to call home."
