PETERBOROUGH, Ontario – On behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Dean Del Mastro, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Member of Parliament (Peterborough), today
announced funding for the Art Gallery of Peterborough.
This funding will be used to create and tour the exhibition Peter Kolisnyk: Between the Lines, a retrospective of the artist’s work. The support will also be used to tour the exhibition to galleries in Manitoba and Nova Scotia, as well as to assist with the design and publication of the exhibition catalogue.
“Our Government is proud to support projects that increase Canadians’ access to their heritage,” said Minister Moore. “By working together with museums and gallery spaces across the country, we are providing more and more opportunities for people to connect with the artwork that
uniquely portrays our culture.”

The Government of Canada has provided funding of $59,300 through the Museums Assistance Program of the Department of Canadian Heritage. This program provides funding to Canadian museums and related institutions for projects that foster excellence in museum activities and that facilitate access to the treasures of our collective heritage.
